Accelerated Free Fall

An intensive course, allowing rapid progression in skydiving, this course is based on 8 levels necessary to qualify as a solo skydiver.

You will first have ground training with your instructor, which includes the parachute system and how it work, how to communicate when in free fall, how to stay in control and skydiving practices. Safety procedures are a very important part of the training. Once this is completed you will make your first jump from approximately 12,000 feet accompanied by two highly specialized instructors who will hold onto you and guide you in free fall by way of hand signals, and once you are under canopy you have a radio to aid your descent. You will experience 40 - 45 seconds of free fall before you open your own canopy at approximately 5,000 feet. Once you have safely landed you will be debriefed with your instructors which is then followed by additional training to improve your skills in readiness for your next jump. Once you have completed the course you will need to perform a further 10 consolidation jumps, guided by your instructors using the skills you have learnt. After this you will be awarded your 'Category Eight' and your International Skydiving Licence.

This course in designed to take place over a week (weather permitting)
